Who thinks phil jackson gets10th ring this year, and lakers win it all?

There is a strong possibilty of it happening...

If not this year he has about 3-5 years with Kobe still around and a ton of young talent, remember, the only player over 30 on the team is Fisher....

He could end up with 13 rings before Kobe retires,

That would give Kobe 7..... more than Mike......

How do they have no answer for Chris Paul and David West?

They beat the Hornets twice in the regular season....

not if they face the celtics??? has anyone seen this team play lately? If they can't compete to the highest level against a team in the east they have no chance against the Hot lakers!!! I think the lakers will win it because the lakers have finally found their identity on offense. Celtics are going to loose either to the Cavs or for sure the pistons. You have to win on the road to win! the lakers proved they can win on the road against the best home team!

Only IF the Hornets manage to beat the Spurs on Monday. Because I don't think the Lakers can beat the Spurs in a best of seven series YET. I think this Lakers club needs a little more seasoning before they could beat the Spurs in a best of seven. IT"S ALL ABOUT MATCH-UPS.

KOBE is the Lakers great equalizers when they play most team; but the Spurs have Bruce Bowen %26amp; Bowen jr. (Ime Udoka) Bowen is the only player in recent history who has actually shut Kobe down (held him to 8 pts %26amp; 3 ast), at the same time he scored 18 points himself.

FISHER is a fantastic point man andgreat complimentary shooter to Kobe. However in the matchup he isn't as fast or as quick as Parker. He cna't break down a defense anywhere near as effeciently as Parker. He Shoots better from the mid range and out side the arc. But if Parker is attacking the paint it's like having another big man. Plus when he's in the paint opponents fouls go up dramatically.

ODOM: Lamar is the toughest cover on the team contrary to what any would think. Being 6'10" and yet being able to handle a ball almost like a little man makes Odom one of the most difficule men to matchup in the league. The Spurs can matchup on him size wize, but the problem comes in where they have to make trade offs for doing it. They can put Bob Horry on him who is also 6'10" and can generate some offense, but Bob isn't a great ball handeler. There is also a bit of loss on defense. If Bowen or Udoka covers him, it normally means taking them off of Kobe.

RADMANOVIC: Depending on who covers him it's just a trade off of some height or a slightly better defender (Thomas or Oberto).

GASOL: Pau is an excellent addition to the Lakers organization. He was a steal of a trade and with a bit of luck will help the Lakers get what has eluded them for so long. But as far as Matchups go dont lie to your self; Gasol is a great ball player, but Duncan is head and shoulders above him. If they were to meet in a Lakers vs Spurs series sure Gasol is going to get in a few great plays, but Duncan is going to get the better of the matchup between these two. that goes without saying. He always has, and always will.

The bottom line is that it comes down to bench play. Since The Spurs play a KEY person of the bench (Ginobili) that gives the Spurs bench the edge over seven games.

I think that the teams would split the first two games. Then Split the second two. Then the Spurs would take the final two.

EDIT:

BUT THE SPURS HAVE TO SURVIVE THE HORNETS FIRST.
They definitely look like they have a real shot at it.

For these ignorant people who didn't see the games between the Lakers and Hornets in the regular season, they split the series 2-2, the Lakers BLOWING OUT the Hornets late in the season, while New Orleans got an early season win and one when Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Chris Mihm were all out.
Yeah right with Maxiell Rasheed Mcydyess and ratliff in the paint Odom and Gasol ain't scoring nothing!

Tayshaun would rip apart Kobe like he did in the 04 finals!

When Rasheed drags out Gasol to the perimeter who's going to stop Rip and Chauncey when their driving to the basket. Radmonavic? I don't think so!
People who are saying boston is going all the way are retarted. They are 0-6 on the road and are going 7 games with cavs and HAWKS

Now the lakers sweept the nuggets and finished the Jazz in 6 and we are getting ARIZA BACK!
I do, if they do end up playing the Celtics all they have to do is win ONE road game and they definitely can do it considering Utah had the best home record in the regular season and they beat them at Utah last night.
BMG and Eric...

What are you guys smoking? I want some to make you that delusional.

Yes, they have no answer for CP3 or West... Then what happened the last time these two teams played each other..

EXACTLY.
It depends how good Boston (lets hope) play them, and if Boston will ever win on the road.
people from LA and the Fans from around the world that hid the last few years after the shaq trade that now are coming back
I think they will and I am a true Lakers fan.
They'll get it... imagine if they had Bynum too.. dang, now that's scary.
me
he's da man and he'll get it...
I am not a die hard Laker fan ever since Kobe became a (snitch and crybaby) but the Lakers barely got past the Jazz and soft *** Carlos Boozer. The Lakers will not be able to defeat New Orleans
Only bandwagon Lakers fans think that. They have no answer for CP3 and David West. Even if they make it to the Finals, The Pistons will beat them like they did in 2004.

Go Pistons!
not if they face the celtics...well its actually gonna be a hard guess seeing how these teams have played.
